I get a lot of e-mail from
students for different kinds of
positions. It is often not possible
to judge the merit of a candidate
from his/her resume. Unless the
candidate has something outstanding
in his/her resume such as graduation
from a very top institute with a
great CGPA, or superlative
performance in a standardized test
such as GATE, it is very difficult
for me to judge. In that situation,
I will ask him/her to read my book
on computer architecture (details
can be found here)
and schedule an interview on phone.

I am currently looking for
motivated Ph.D, M.Tech, and M.S
students. Ph.D and M.S research
students are provided with excellent
facilities in IIT Delhi. They
include hostel facilities, office
space, computing facilities, and
support for attending international
conferences. They also get to engage
in high end research, interact with
reputed researchers from other
universities, and even spend time at
research labs, or foreign
universities. Secondly, most
Ph.D/M.S students publish papers in
top international conferences and
journals, and typically have a
successful career in high end
R&D facilities, academia, or
industrial research labs. PLEASE
NOTE: It is possible to be employed
in a research project position, and
simultaneously pursue a Ph.D or M.S
(research).
