Biography

Diksha is currently a full-time researcher at imec, Leuven. Before joining imec, she completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. She was advised by Dr. Smruti Ranjan Sarangi and Dr. Anshul Kumar. Her research interests span the areas of architecture design and acceleration techniques for computer vision and image processing applications, designing convolutional neural network accelerators, and machine learning applications to computer architecture.

She was selected for the prestigious scheme “Ph.D. Scholarship with short stay for young scholars” by the Innopolis University, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. During her stay at Russia from Sep.-Nov. 2019, she worked towards energy-efficient architecture design for drones, where she was advised by Dr. Manuel Mazzara and Dr. Ilya Afanasyev. Diksha was selected as the top 200 researchers working in computer science and mathematics to attend the 8th Heidelberg Laureate Forum 2021. She was also the winner of the technical blog competition at the IBM Research's flagship event Maitreyee 2020 and 2021.

Before joining Ph.D., she worked as a Project Associate with Dr. Kolin Paul and Dr. Anshul Kumar at IIT Delhi. The focus of the project was to efficiently implement super-resolution on a reconfigurable array. She received a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Information Technology Jabalpur, India in 2015. She did her bachelors thesis at BARC Mumbai, where she was advised by Mr. Abhishek Bajpai and Mr. Saket Saurav.
