Projects / Internships
Non-IITD students
If you are not an IITD student, then it is not feasible for me to offer you a project / internship. I am extremely sorry for
- Not offering you a project / internship.
- Not replying to your email.
- Wasting the time, money, and effort of whoever (eg. self, parents, relatives, friends, etc.) you send to meet me personally to endorse your request.
If you are keen to work with me, I would encourage you to apply to our B.Tech. / M.Tech. / MSR / Ph.D. program. (This is not enough; you will also have to show interest and an above-average performance in the relevant courses here.)
IITD students
Write an email to me to initiate a conversation. Your email must contain
- Your entry number (I would like to see your grades).
- Whether you want a project for credits or just an informal project.
- In the former case, mention the course number. You are advised to contact me at least one month before the beginning of the semester in which you want to do the project course. I'll give you a few papers to read and present. By the beginning of the semester, if both of us are willing to work with each other and have figured out a reasonable problem, then I make a commitment to supervise you.
- In the latter case, mention the duration and the average number of hours per week you will be able to invest.
- If you are paid through some project grant, or will be working simultaneously with other faculty members, the name(s) and email(s) of your supervisor(s). Else, a declaration stating that you are not paid through any project grant and you will not work simultaneously on other projects.
You may optionally attach your CV, or mention other relavant information, for example, the specific problem / domain you would like to work on, your significant achievements, interests -- both curricular and extra-curricular, etc.
