Maya Ramanath

I am an assistant professor in the Dept. of Computer Science and Engg. at IIT-Delhi.

My research interests are in the area of database and information retrieval techniques for semantic web data management, information extraction and opinion mining.

I am part of the Data Analytics and Intelligence Research Group. We run a seminar series for all those interested in data analytics (schedule available here).

Unrestricted Gift from the Faculty Research and Engagement Program of Yahoo! for our proposal on Trend Detection on Twitter with Amitabha Bagchi.

A new IMPECS group at IIT-Delhi and IIIT-Delhi on “Databases and Information Retrieval” led by Srikanta Bedathur and myself. This is in collaboration with IIT-Bombay and

the Max-Planck Institute for Informatics in Germany. The focus of the group in Delhi will be on “ Effective Querying of Large Knowledge-Bases”.
