# Final Submission

Please submit the final version of your FPT paper in pdf format. Full papers are allowed 8 pages and posters are allowed 4 pages. Up to two additional pages beyond these totals can be purchased with permission of the program chair (fptpc-chairs@keb302.ecs.umass.edu) at a cost of $50 per page. A few details: 1. ALL PAPERS MUST BE CHECKED AND MUST PASS PDFEXPRESS BEFORE THEY ARE UPLOADED. Your paper cannot be included in the proceedings or on IEEE Xplore without passing the pdfexpress formatting check. Note the directions on formatting and pdfexpress checking below. Additional questions regarding formatting and pdfexpress issues should be forwarded to the FPT publications chair, Preeti Ranjan Panda (panda@cse.iitd.ac.in). 2. Please include the proper copyright information on your paper (details below). 3. Please be sure to separately fill out and upload the IEEE copyright form in pdf format. 4. The final version of the paper must be uploaded by September 15 to guarantee inclusion in the final proceedings. 5. You must register for the conference and attend the conference for your paper to appear in the FPT proceedings and on IEEE Xplore. Please register by September 15 to avoid delays. ## Preparing your camera-ready manuscript The Latex and MS Word templates for the camera-ready manuscript are located at: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html Select A4 paper size. For Latex, select the 'bare_conf.tex' for paper template and 'IEEEtran.bst' for Bibliography style. The Copyright notice needs to appear at the bottom of the first page of your paper. (a) For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright (b) For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-4577-1740-6/11/$26.00 ©2011 Crown

(c) For all other papers the copyright notice is:
978-1-4577-1740-6/11/$26.00 ©2011 IEEE If you are using MS Word, replace the line about sponsors at the bottom of the first page in the template file, by the appropriate Copyright notice above. If you are using Latex, follow these steps: Step 1: Insert the following immediately after the '\documentclass' line: \IEEEoverridecommandlockouts Step 2: Insert the appropriate Copyright notice before issuing '\maketitle', using the '\IEEEpubid' command. Step 3: Insert the following anywhere in the text of the second column of the first page:

## Preparing IEEE Xplore compatible manuscript with PDF Express

(a) Create an account with PDF Express at:
URL: http://pdf-express.org/
Conference ID: FPT11x
Existing users of PDF Express should be able to reuse their account information.

(b) For each paper authored by you, click "Create New Title".

(c) Enter the paper title as "identifying text" for the paper.

(d) Click "Submit PDF for Checking" or "Submit Source Files for Conversion". Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload.

(e) You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF EXPRESS-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.

## Submission of the final manuscript

Submit the IEEE Xplore compatible manuscript generated in the previous step into the START system using your existing account for FPT (do not create a new account for this).
Submission deadline is: 15 September 2011
