Max Planck Visiting Professors

Dr. Helmut Seidl, is a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen where he heads the research group on Programming Languages and Types.  His research interests are in

  • Automatic Program Analysis
  • Design and Implementation of Programming Languages
  • Semi-structured Data
  • Tree Automata

Prof Seidl will be a Max-Planck-Visiting Professor in August-September 2012 when he will visit IISc Bangalore.

 

Pankaj Agarwal is the RJR Nabisco Professor of Computer Science at Duke University, USA. He will be visiting IIT Delhi from August 15, 2010 to January 31, 2011.

He has research interests in Computational & discrete geometry, Shape Analysis, GIS and ecologic modeling, Spatial databases, Sensor networks and Computational biology.

 

Dr Anand Srivastav is a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel where he heads the research group in Discrete Optimization. His research interests are

  • Combinatorial Optimization, i.e., approximate, randomized and derandomized algorithms.
  • Multicast networks, game-theoretic aspects, selfish routing.
  • Discrepancy theory, highdimensional integration.

Prof Srivastav will be a Max-Planck-Visiting Felllow in Feb-march 2013 and Feb-March 2014 when he will visit IIT Delhi and TIFR Mumbai.
