Students graduating from India can apply for an IMPECS-postdoctoral fellowship to spend a year at MPI-INF/MPI-SWS.

 

Sahely Bhadra is a graduate from IISc Bangalore (supervisor Chiranjib Bhattacharyya. Her research interests are in handling interval valued data and uncertainty in Kernel in Machine Learning and in Robust Optimization. She will be starting as a postdoc at MPI-Informatik in Sept 2012.

 

 

Sankaran Anand is a graduate from IIT Delhi (supervisors Naveen Garg and Amit Kumar). His research interests are in Approximation and Online Algorithms for Scheduling problems. He will be starting as a postdoc at MPI-Informatik in June 2013.

 

Geevarghese Philip is a graduate from IMSc Chennai (supervisor Venkatesh Raman) and is a postdoc with the Algorithms and Complexity group at MPI-INF since November 2011. His research interests are

  • Fixed-Parameter (In)Tractability
  • Kernelization Complexity
 

Chandan Saha is a graduate from IIT Kanpur (supervisor Manindra Agrawal) and was a postdoc with the Algorithms and Complexity group at MPI-INF from Sept 2010 to August 2012. His research interests are in Computational Algebra and Randomized Algorithms.
