If selected for admission all full-time candidates would be provided with an Institute Scholarship and hostel accommodation.
Within three months of joining the Ph.D. program, students are expected to identify an advisor.
All Ph.D. candidates have to complete certain course requirements which could range from a total of 4 to 8 courses. These courses are meant to provide the students with sufficient breadth in computer science and to prepare them to take up research in their area of interest. Full-time candidates are given 18 months and Part-time candidates are given 24 months to complete their course requirements.
Within the first 18 months (24 months for part-time students) Ph.D. students are also required to complete their first comprehensive examinations. The comprehensive rules are given here . |
